… Berates Adetimehin roles during the congress
Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ifedore local government area of Ondo State on Wednesday rejected the claims of the Chairman of state ward congress committee, Mr Isiaka Gboyega.
Isiaka had in the press statement said: “There are few skirmishes in few places which have been resolved in the last 24 hours. It’s less than five per cent of the entire 203 wards that we have, because it’s just one or two local council areas and like I said, they have been resolved.”
But one of the chieftains of the party, Hon. Adebusuyi Idowu in a statement issued on Wednesday evening said Mr Isiaka collected two separate lists from the two major groups and was compelled to authenticate only one list by the State acting Chairman, Mr Ade Adetimehin.
Adebusuyi said all efforts to make him bring the two groups together to harmonize the lists proved abortive.
“This is far from the truth as there was nowhere the two groups in the local government came together to harmonize or agree on any list across the 10 wards in Ifedore.
“Mr Isiaka lied, he didn’t resolve anything in Ifedore, he only danced to the tune of the State Acting Chairman.
“We are ready to approach the court of law if the abnormalities during the ward congress in Ifedore is not corrected on time,” he said.
