Ondo APC Congress Chair, Isiaka Hails Peaceful Conduct Of Election

    The Chairman of the APC ward congress held in Ondo State, Mr Gboyega Nasir Isiaka (GNI) says the conduct of the election was peaceful and successful.

    The Ward Congresses though Consensus has now thrown up substantive executives who will proceed to replace the caretaker committees of the APC at the grassroots level.

    Isiaka while addressing journalists on Saturday after the congresses acroos the 203 wards in the State, disclosed that the committee to a large extent was satisfied with the conduct of the congress across the wards.

    “Even though there were few issues as related to the conduct of the electoral process, it was a peaceful and successful one nonetheless.”

    He also explained that the turnout for the electoral process was highly impressive.

    Isiaka while appraising the conduct of the ward election in other southwest states explained that even though there have been unconfirmed reports of few irregularities, he is highly optimistic that the party will seek to the immediate redress of these situations as directed by the National Working Committee of the Party

    It would be recalled that the leadership of the party had unanimously agreed to adopt a consensus method to elect these new officials.

    The Committee Secretary Mr. Lanre Balogun also commended the members of the APC in the State for the peaceful conduct of the electoral process.
