Disc Jockeys in Ondo State under aiegis of the Deejays Association of Nigeria have intensified preparations for their forthcoming second year anniversary celebrations.
The event which is slated for Thursday 12th, August 2021 in Akure is expected to feature top Disc Jockeys from across the six southwest States as well as other bigwigs including the National President of the Association, DJ Kool.
According to the spokesman of the Association in the State, DJ Money, the anniversary tagged “mother of all events” is also expected to bring together other families of the entertainment industry as top Comedians, Hypemen as well as Artistes will be on ground to spice up the event.
“As you are aware we are a very accommodating brand and we want to ensure we take entertainment to the greatest height in Ondo State and that is why our anniversary celebrations is not an exception because we want to bring top DJs, Comedians, Hypemen and Artistes all under the same roof in one single event”
DJ Money went further to highlight some of the activities expected to feature during anniversary saying guest DJ Mellowshe will not only be coming to perform but will equally be a resource person at a seminar that will Kickstart the day while awards will be presented to some individuals that have done well in their chosen fields not forgetting that a novelty football match will also form part of the program for the weeklong event.
“Just because we were forced to postpone our first year anniversary due to COVID-19 Pandemic we decided to make the second edition an elaborate one that will see our featured DJ Mellowshe will first be coming in as a resource person to update us on some the innovations in the industry while we will also keep fit by playing a novelty football match amongst others”
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Association in Ondo State, DJ Otentik has called on members to ensure all hands must be on deck for a successful event while commending them for their support so far since the birth of the Association in Ondo State.
“It is highly imperative that we call on members and other relevant stakeholders that all hands must be on deck for a successful event being our first major show involving people from outside the state and at this juncture I must equally commend members for the support we are getting from them since the emergence of the Association in Ondo State although they can still do more”
Recently the Association visited the family of a late colleague and leader DJ Sunny Bruce to check on their well being while providing them some palliatives all as part of activities heralding the anniversary celebrations.
