Updated: AAUA Lecturer, Precision Publisher, Ondo Journalist To Speak At ACE Media Conference Today

The office of the Director of Information (DIS), Students’ Union Government and National Union of Campus Journalist (NUCJ) Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo will today Tuesday, September 21 hold its maiden Media Conference.

In a statement made available to The Precision NG by the DIS, Comrade Eniola Damilare Marvelous (Captain Gold) and Coordinator of NUCJ, Olowe Charles (Bleeding Pen), the conference with the theme, “Contemporary Issues in Campus Journalism and Social Media” is slated for 10am at the Obasanjo Multipurpose Hall of the College.

A lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Dr Olugbenga Abimbola will be the lead speaker.

The Publisher of Ondo-based Online Newspaper, The Precision NG, Olusegun Hakeem Adebumiti will also be speaking at the event.

Also, the Chairman of Ondo State Correspondents Chapel, Tope Fayehun will be delivering a paper at the event.

“The conference has been put in place to provide panacea to imbroglio and crises in campus journalism being experienced today, and to orientate and re-orientate practicing students and to equip them with necessary skill need and to expose them to professional ethics.

“This program would also resuscitate ACE National Union of Campus Journalists.

“The Media Conference will be declared open by the Provost of the College, Dr Samuel Akintunde. The College’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Mrs Oluseto Olatuyi would moderate the sessions,” the statement read.
