Ondo Amotekun Rescues Three Additional Travelers From Kidnappers

Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun have rescued the remaining three victims that were kidnapped last weekend in the State.

The victims were passengers travelling to Lagos from Ifira Akoko in Akoko South-East Local Government Area the State when they were kidnapped by gunmen.

The Amotekun corps after a tip off went after the kidnappers and rescued nine victims on Wednesday.

The corps on Friday also disclosed that the remaining three victims have now been freed.

The state Commander of the Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye confirmed this development to newsmen on Friday.

Adeleye said the victims would be reunited with their family members on today Saturday.

He said his men responded to a distress call from concerned citizens.

“I can confirm to you that we have rescued the three remaining victims and they will be reunited with their families today.”

The Amotekun corps was setup by State Governors in the Southwest of the country to tackle growing insecurity in the region.
