The persistent postponement of Oyo State All Progressives Congress (APC) State congress due to alleged schemes by various caucuses, within the party may cause another bad outing for the party come 2023.

Adeduntan, the Harvard trained and Cardiovascular Surgeon who was a former commissioner of health in the state and currently leading the contest for 2023 Governorship seat in Oyo APC stated this in a statement in Ibadan at the weekend.

Adeduntan cautioned stakeholders in the party especially gladiators, schemers as well as caucuses to sheath their swords and think first about the survival of the party as well as success in the 2023 election.

“The problem of Oyo APC now is that of gladiators schemers and caucuses.

Ordinarily, there is nothing wrong with caucuses in any political system except a do or die caucus or our way or the high road.

“The schemers and evil caucuses are dangerous to any political system any where in the world.”

A Congress that has been held successfully in most of the states has now been postponed three times in Oyo state.

“For the sake of Oyo state, APC party and its future progress, Osi Basorun of Ibadan land – Adeduntan, wishes to state that he belongs to no caucus but the caucus of God – the king maker, the party membership and the people of Oyo state who are yearning for good governance and the dividends of democracy.

“There is no critical stakeholders in Oyo state APC,except GOD and party members.Anything to the contrary is a fools paradise and delusional.”

He advised others to toe the same line in order to move Oyo State APC forward and prevent others from seeing the party as laughing stocks, difficult, unruly and ungovernable.

“Oyo APC must prevent the gathering clouds that made us to lose Governorship in 2019 and by narrow margin the presidential votes tally.

“Whether any one schemes, cut corners in order to get ahead, we must remember at all times that power, life & death belong to almighty God. He is the only one that knows the future with certainty.

“We must do the needful, close ranks and let the Congress hold without future postponement,” Adeduntan advised.
