I’ve Been A Cancer Survivor For 24 Years – Betty Akeredolu

Ondo State first lady, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu says she is a proud Cancer Survivor for 24 years.

She stated this on Wednesday on her Facebook profile with a picture of herself adorning a branded T-shirt with the inscription, “Meet up with Cancer Survivors, #2021faceofhope.”

The first lady who is the founder of Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria (BRECAN) has been creating advocacy about Cancer through her pet project for over 20 years.

Mrs Anyanwu-Akeredolu is among other Nigerians attending the 2021 International Cancer Week (ICW) in Nigeria, holding at NAF Conference Centre & Suites, Ahmadu Bello Way, FCT, Abuja.

ICW in Nigeria is an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) – in collaboration with other government agencies and Non-governmental Organizations to provide a platform to create National awareness, education and interactive strategies to prevent cancers in Nigeria.

The programme tagged “Cancer Care for All: Through Strategic Advocacy and Investment” ends on the 29th October, 2021.
