The House of Representatives member representing Akoko South East and South West federal constituency, Hon. Ade Adeogun has renovated a mosque for Ose Oba Akoko community.
During the inauguration of the Mosque at the weekend, Adeogun, represented by his Chief of Staff, Bolakale Daodu, said it gladdens his heart that the project has been commissioned to the glory of Allah and for the use of humanity.
It was gathered that Ose Oba community were to be given a water project before the people chose the renovation of the Mosque, which they said is a unifying factor for them.
A statement from the office of the Federal lawmaker read:
“Earlier in the year, Hon. Ade Adeogun sent delegation to Ose Oba to meet with the community stakeholders, so they could jointly carry out geophysical survey on where to build a water project.
“However in making their choice, the people of the community which is predominantly inhabited by Muslims preferred the renovation of their mosque that had over the years been terribly dilapidated. They described the building as sacred and an eloquent symbol of unity.
“I am glad that Hon. Ade Adeogun chose to respect the choice of the people and immediately directed his project team to commence a massive renovation of the masjid.
“Our prayer is that God Almighty continues to intervene positively in the affairs of the people of Akoko South East/South West Federal Constituency,” the statement read.
