The Lateefah Moyosore Durosinmi Foundation (LMDF) will hold the 7th Edition of its Annual Scholarship Awards to Students and grants to women on small scale businesses on Wednesday, 24th November, 2021.
In a statement issued by the Acting Secretary of the Foundation , Dr Mrs Mistura Sanni said the event will hold at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile- Ife, Osun state.
Sanni said 41 new scholarship awards to students in primary/ secondary schools and further scholarship support for tertiary education while 28 women in small scale business shall be given grants.
She said beneficiaries are selected from the Six South West Zone States and Ife Central Local Government.
With these 2021 awards, the Foundation would have given out 201 scholarships and grants to 128 women.
The Foundation has also continued to give further support to previous beneficiaries for sustainability.
The Chairman of the occasion is Hon. Justice M. Kunle Adeigbe, (Rtd), while Dr S.O Zubair, Vice – Dean, Faculty of Education, OAU, will speak on “Education: Panacea for Political and Economic Development”.
Other important guests and dignitaries have been invited to grace the occasion.
These include Professor Olubola Babalola, the Deputy Vice -Chancellor, (Academics), Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife, Alhaji Rasaq Oladejo, MUSWEN President/Deputy President- General, NSCIA, Prof. Isiaq Amoo of FUTA, Akure, Dr. Siji Olamiju, Special Adviser on Public Health, State of Osun, Mrs C.K. Olaniyan, Ag. Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Osun State amongst several other dignitaries.
