Chief Donatus Okereke, the Eze Ndigbo of Ifon in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State has been kidnapped.

Chief Okereke, a popular Businessman in Ifon, was whisked into the thick forest along Elegbeka by heavily armed kidnappers at around 8am on Monday morning.

The Precision NG gathered that the Igbo Chief was kidnapped at the Junction of a Quarry company in the town.

The spot where the kidnappers struck was close to the area where the late Oluifon of Ifon, Oba Israel Adeusi was killed by yet to be identified Gunmen.

Olaniyi Eni Olotu, a community leader and Secretary to the Regent of Ifon confirmed the abduction to The Precision NG via a telephone chat.

According to him, the kidnappers took the Igbo Chief through the bush path into the forest.

He said they shoot into the air before abducting him, adding that the kidnappers took away the large amount of cash in the man’s vehicle.

“Immediately we got the alarm about his abduction, the Regent of Ifon swung into action and contacted the Police as well as the Amotekun corps,” Olotu said.
