Elections of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation & Strategic Partnerships) of the University of Ibadan holds today Thursday, November 4.
A statement by the Registrar of the institution, Olubunmi Faluyi on Tuesday and obtained by The Precision NG noted that there will be a Special Meeting of Senate and election of candidates to fill the vacant positions in the Deputy Vice-Chancellor’s Office.
“In accordance with the provisions of section 4(2) and (3) of decree no. 11 of 1993 (NOW Act of 1993):
“Where a vacancy occurs in the post of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor shall forward to the Senate a list of two (2) candidates for each post of Deputy Vice-Chancellor that is vacant.
“The Senate shall select for each vacant post one candidate from each list forwarded to it under sub-section (2) of this section and forward his name to the Council for confirmation.
“Kindly note that the election by electronic voting will commence at 8:30 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. Senate Meeting will commence immediately after the election in the Adeoye Lambo Senate Chamber,” the statement added.

Prof. K. O. Oluwasemire,
Department of Soil Resources Management, Faculty of Agriculture.
Prof. E. O. Ayoola, Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic):
Prof. Aderonke M. Baiyeroju, Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Clinical Sciences,
College of Medicine.
Prof. D. A. Adeyemo, Department of Counselling and Human Development Studies, Faculty of Education.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation & Strategic Partnerships):
Prof. O. G. Arinola, Department of Immunology, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medicine.
Prof. Oluyemisi A. Bamgbose, Department of Public Law, Faculty of Law.
