Elections of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation & Strategic Partnerships) of the University of Ibadan holds today Thursday, November 4.
A statement by the Registrar of the institution, Olubunmi Faluyi on Tuesday and obtained by The Precision NG noted that there will be a Special Meeting of Senate and election of candidates to fill the vacant positions in the Deputy Vice-Chancellor’s Office.
“In accordance with the provisions of section 4(2) and (3) of decree no. 11 of 1993 (NOW Act of 1993):
“Where a vacancy occurs in the post of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor shall forward to the Senate a list of two (2) candidates for each post of Deputy Vice-Chancellor that is vacant.
“The Senate shall select for each vacant post one candidate from each list forwarded to it under sub-section (2) of this section and forward his name to the Council for confirmation.
“Kindly note that the election by electronic voting will commence at 8:30 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. Senate Meeting will commence immediately after the election in the Adeoye Lambo Senate Chamber,” the statement added.
