Update: Two Females Elected New UI DVCs

Two female Professors have been elected as new Deputy Vice Chancellors (DVCs) of the University of Ibadan (UI).

A male Professor however got one of the vacant positions put up for the election.

The elections which was held earlier today Thursday, November 4 was done to fill the vacant positions in the Chancellery of the institution.

Prof. Ezekiel Olusola Ayoola, a Professor of Mathematics, won the seat of DVC, Administration, with 453 votes, defeating his opponent, who had 73 votes.

Prof. (Mrs) Aderonke Baiyeroju, who is a Professor of Ophthalmology, emerged as the new DVC, Academics, with 320 votes, against 200 votes.

Prof. (Mrs) Oluyemisi Bamgbose, SAN, who had 448 against his opponent with 112 votes, is now the newly elected DVC, Research, Innovation & Strategic Partnerships.
