The Deji and the Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II will on Wednesday 2nd February, 2022 be conferred with Doctorate Degree (Honoris Causa) of the prestigious Federal University of Technology, Minna.Oba Aladetoyinbo who is the Chancellor of the University is expected to receive the honour during his investiture. The event will also mark the 38th Founder’s Day and 30th Convocation Ceremony of the institution.
Oba Aladetoyinbo who is the current Chairman of the Ondo State Council of Obas will receive the award alongside other eminent Nigerians including the Former Head of State, Federal Republic of Nigeria, General Abdusalami Abubakar GCFR, President, African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina CON, Group Managing Director NNPC Ltd, Mele Kolo Kyari and Founder, BUA Group, Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu CON.
Oba Aladetoyinbo is expected to preside over the convocation ceremony which will take place on Tuesday 1st February, 2022 and Wednesday 2nd February, 2022 at the Suleimanu Kano Convocation Square, Main Campus where about 3,892 students are expected to graduate with First Degree.
President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier appointed Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II as the Chancellor of FUTMINNA alongside 41 other foremost Traditional Rulers.
