Again, Hon. West Distributes Free JAMB Forms To 200 Students In Owo

The Majority Leader in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Honourable Oluwole Emmanuel Ogunmolasuyi (Hon. West) has again fulfilled his promise to secondary school students who wish to further their education to tertiary institution.

No fewer than 200 students benefitted in the latest round of scholarship under the Oluwole Emmanuel Ogunmolasuyi Foundation.

This is the 6th edition of the programme, which has become a platform for bringing education to residents of Owo Constituency I.

The latest edition of scholarship also witnessed an increment in the number of beneficiaries.

Study materials, finances for coaching lessons and other relief support were also given to the students during the recent programme.

Students who were opportune to get the scholarship expressed their joy and happiness for the opportunity given by the ODHA Majority Leader.

In their words, “We must continue to appreciate Honourable West’s generosity and passion to see younger generation grow through education.”

In his address, Hon. Ogunmolasuyi appreciated God for the opportunity to hold another edition of the scholarship programme.

According to him, the programme was birthed from his vision to seeing all Owo children acquire adequate education in life.

“I would have loved to register all the students in this local government if I have the capacity, because I want everyone to go to school, learn and acquire knowledge.

“We are in a jet age, therefore it’s imperative for all Child to be educated, learn and acquire knowledge because as an human being, we must continue to learn and acquire knowledge till we die.”

According to Hon Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi, “six years ago when we started, it was only in Owo we have this type of programme contributing to knowledge, but now we can see it all around the state, which means we have laid the foundation of a good thing, though some maybe politically motivated but ours is not for Politics, we are only trying our possible best to invest in the lives of our youths purposely for the betterment of our society and the future of the students.”

Hon Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi congratulated the beneficiaries, urging them to focus more on acquiring knowledge.

Having listen to testimonies and observations from parents and beneficiaries of the previous editions of the programme, Hon Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi promised to sponsor some Students in the field of Medicine, Law, ICT and other disciplines.

In her address, Hon Mrs Temitope Iwagun Ogunmolasuyi commended Hon. West for the initiative in laying the foundation of better future for the beneficiaries.

She urged the Students to pay back the good gesture with academic success in their chosen area. She however promised to support the West foundation in sponsoring 10 best female Students for their post UTME forms.

The Owo Local Chairman, Hon Samuel Adegbegi also commended Hon. Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi for the scholarship programme which he described as the best anyone or any good representative can give to admission seekers in the Local government.

Hon. Adegbegi urged the Students to be good ambassadors of Owo Local government in their respective institution, adding that they should also contribute to the development of the Local Government in the future.

Distinguished personalities in attendance for the programme were Owo Local Government Chairman, Chief Samuel Adegbegi, Mrs Temitope Iwagun Ogunmolasuyi, Mr Oluwafemi Shafe (Stonework MD), Mr Segun (Yeyo), Mr Afolabi (Olamus), Mr Rotimi Franklin (ROTEX), Mr Afolabi Ahmed, Mr Sikiru Tairu (KESHI), Otunba Olanitori Poppy, Chief Taye Secco, and Mrs Anoma.
