The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has condemned the recent crude and uncivilized assassination attempt on a leading lawmaker in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbenga Omole.
APC through Alex Kalejaye, its publicity secretary lamented that criminal elements could launch such level of attack on a law-abiding citizen, who currently serves the Assembly as the Chairman, House Committee on Information, Youths and Sports.
“Omole, the party holds, is a thoroughly breed gentleman and politician, who deserves commendation and appreciation from the society he has faithfully served. He has made lots of personal sacrifices to ensure the development of youths and sports in the Sunshine State.
“The State chapter urges security agencies to put their skills to demonstration, and ensure the perpetrators are apprehended and adequately punished, to deter others, and guide against future occurrence.
“We also call for improvement in the security arrangements across the state, to tame desperate players/actors, as we march towards 2023 general elections.”
