Chief Imam Warns Youths Against Violence During Elections

As various political parties are preparing for their primary elections to produce candidates for 2023 General elections a Muslim cleric and the Chief Imam of Ogbagi Akoko, Sheikh Adamson Arikeuyo has warned against using youths as political thugs to cause violence in the country.

The religious leader cautioned parents not to allow their children to be involved on inimical activities due to their long stay at home because of prolonged ASUU strike rather they should be encouraged to learn trades or involve in farming activities.

Imam Adamson disclosed that an idle mans brain is the devil workshop.

He appealed to Nigerians to be mindful of those to be voted for to represent them that will adequately represent them.

Adamson condemned corruption in high places, lack of security and employment in both public and private sectors.

The chief Imam appealed to various communities in Ondo state to join hands with Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on his tireless efforts to secure lives and properties through the establishment and funding of Amotekun security outfit that is complementing the activities of police and other sister agencies in Ondo state.

The religious leader appealed to worshipping centres to embark on fervent prayers to our leaders to be able to make policies aimed at revamping our economy,reduction in the rate of crimes in the country.

He decried the outrageous hajj fees for this year pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina saying this will not allow Muslims to fulfil one of the five pillars of Islam.
