Ondo Amotekun To Recruit 350 New Officers

Ondo State Security Network, codenamed Amotekun will soon be fortified with additional officers.

This is after the approval by the Ondo State Governor, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, that the recruitment of additional 350 officers into the outfit, should commence.

Governor Akeredolu made this known at an award ceremony organised by Ondo State Agribusiness Empowerment Centre (OSAEC) in Akure.

The Governor also promised that more operational vehicles and motorcycles would be purchased to aid the corps’ operation in the state.

Earlier, the Governor said that OSAEC was created to revolutionise the Agricultural sector noting that farming should no longer be a vocation, but a business.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Agric and Agric-businesses, Pastor Akin Olotu said the award was to recognise those that had performed extraordinarily in the sector
