Osun state governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has expressed his confidence of being reelected the second time in the State ongoing election.

The APC governorship aspirant while voting today at 11:30, ward 01, unit 02, Iragbiji Boripe Local Government charged the Independent National Electoral Commission to fast track the process and be up and doing.

In his words, Adegboyega said “considering the time frame we have for voting, they need to speed up or increase the number of machines so as to ensure that the process is completed within the time frame”

He therefore commended the security agents for their effort “The security agents are doing well. Seeing the enthusiasm that voters have displayed to cast their votes, I’m particularly very grateful to them and that shows that people are conscious of the need to participate in the process. Once the process is transparent enough, people will not be persuaded to vote, there will be no voters apathy

The aspirant had earlier warned against violence in the election in what he wrote on Twitter
He wrote “My good people of Osun, as we go to the polls today, let us go about it peacefully. Let us eschew violence, brigandage, disorderliness or anything that could disrupt the peaceful atmosphere we all have been enjoying in the state.

“As stakeholders, it is our responsibility to ensure that Osun maintains its status as the most peaceful state in Nigeria.

“Let me in particular, appeal to members and supporters of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) to exercise their civic rights peacefully,”.

The election is taking place in 246 polling units across the 30 local government areas in the state.
