Ballon d’Or: For The First Time In 17 Years, Lionel Messi’s Name Missing As Benzema, Salah, Ronaldo Make List



For the first time since 2005, Argentine skipper, Lionel Messi’s name is missing on the list of nominees presented for the 2022 Ballon d’Or awards.

Messi, a 7th time winner of the award joined PSG last season from Barcelona, but had a poor outing in his first year at the French team.

Messi’s team mate and Brazilian star, Neymar is also missing on the 30-man list released on Friday by the organizers of the award.
