The crisis surrounding the Imamship of the Ikare Central Mosque is yet to douse, as the Ondo State Government has ordered the closure of the worship building.
The decision of the Government was announced after the State Council meeting on Monday.
Last week Friday, there was tension in the town as the mosque was populated with security personnel who came to forestall any break down of law, following the controversial removal of the Imam, Alhaji Abubakri Abbas Muhammed.
The Imam would later led the congregation to observe the Friday Jumat Service, while the Chairman and Secretary of the Council who sanctioned the alleged removal of the Imam were also at the Service.
Precision Online Newspaper gathered that the Government expects the stakeholders including the League of Imans and Alfas and the Ikare Muslim Council to meet to resolve the issue before the reopening of the mosque.
