The presidential jet carrying President Muhammadu Buhari and his entourage to Seoul, South Korea, has witnessed a technical stopover in Switzerland.
President Buhari is billed for South Korea to participate at the 1st World Bio Summit holding on 25 and 26 October.
One of the presidential aides, Buhari Sallau posted the development on his Facebook profile.
Though, Sallau didn’t mention the country, every indication points to the fact that the technical stopover occurred at the Swiss port in Switzerland.
Sallau’s message is reproduced below:
TECHNICAL STOPOVERS: When going on official trips with long travel time, we always have no choice but to stop for what is called technical stop over.
This stop over happens in different countries depending on the direction of travel with us having some time to stretch our legs, take a break off the plane and grab some local coffee and drinks.
While doing this, the plane is taking through a routine of mechanical and electrical checks, refueling and re-evaluation before we continue the journey.
Here enroute South Korea, the President reembarks on the 001 flight after a technical stop in a country I’m not allowed to disclose though I know some people can figure it out.
Hope you have enjoyed your weekend?
