Two more children set ablaze by their step- father, Ojo Joseph, have died at the hospital in Ondo state.
One of them had died on Saturday before he was rushed to the hospital.
Ojo, aged 54, set five of his step-children ablaze at Fagun crescent area of Ondo town.
The man alleged that his wife who is mother of the children offended him over a little misunderstanding.
He was said to have poured petrol into the room while the children were asleep and set the room on fire.
Spokesperson of the state police command, Funmi Odunlami confirmed this to newsmen in Akure.
According to her, the two children died because they could not recover.
Odunlami added that everything is being done to save the two remaining children.
She said, ”It is sad that two children have also died because of the severe burns.”.
She added that the man had been apprehended by the police for a case of alleged arson and murder.
She hinted further, that investigation would be carried out before charging the suspect to court.
