Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Engr. Adetimehin, has hailed leaders of the party in the South Senatorial zone, for organizing “a highly successful” campaign rally earlier this week.
The State chapter kick started senatorial rallies in the Sunshine State at Methodist Primary School play field in Okitipupa. Mr. Governor, Arakunrin Akeredolu, SAN, CON, led other leaders from across the State to the rally.
The event was the first of its kind in 2023, heralding an aggressive but decent campaigns in the South Senatorial district of the State.
Engr. Adetimehin, who led a pack of leaders from the Central zone, described attendance at the rally as massive.
The APC chieftain said: “I was highly elated over the enthusiasm of the crowd, which was an indication that they were not rented, but genuine party members.
“To me, therefore, APC is solidly alive in that zone. I am not surprised though, because the political gladiators that made Peoples Democratic Party thick are now in the APC fold”.
He mentioned names like Hon. Isaacs Kekemeke, Chief Olusola Oke, SAN, Princess Oladunni Odu, Pastor Segun Ayerin, and others to buttress his position.
Adetimehin, however, assured that a more intimidating crowd would gather in Ondo for the Central Senatorial rally in Ondo on Monday.
His conviction was premised on the fact that “the central senatorial zone is the most populated in the State.”
He expressed confidence that APC would win in all the elections, judging from the current healthy state of the chapter. “The bulk of active politicians in the State are in APC, and that will surely reflect in votes come February,” he explained.
