Few days to the general election, the leading House of Representatives Candidate for Akoko South West and Akoko South East Federal Constituency, Adeyeri Stephen Kunle, paid a visit to ward 4, Agba-Oka.
This was even as the oldest man Mr. Moses Amubieya and other elders in the neck of the woods, prayed for the success of Adeyeri in the February 25 general election.
On Saturday, the densely populated community which comprises Osan, Akusa, Owalagba, also pledged their unfettered support for Adeyeri.
Residents of the quarters, who trooped out in large numbers to welcome the Labour Party Candidate, assured him of votes.
Many of the residents who expressed repugnance over dearth of development in the Federal Constituency, said to be occasioned by past representatives, noted that they would support Adeyeri.
The elated residents echoed that: “Since you didn’t secure your ticket from the two major political parties (APC & PDP) we will support you to become our representative.
Adeyeri, who partially hails from Agba, however, promised to rejuvenate and bring dividends of democracy down to the grassroot.
The candidate, who appreciated both indigenes and non-indigenes in the area for the rousing welcome, promised to better their lives if elected.
In the same vein, many a woman, whose joy knew no bound, on Saturday, flooded the streets of Iwaro-Oka to welcome their son, Adeyeri Stephen
The excited women who gathered at Obada and Owalusin in Iwaro-Oka, respectively, offered prayers for the Labour Party candidate.
In his terse response, Adeyeri urged the blithesome women to ink their thumbs for Labour Party in the February 25 general election.
“It is high time we pull out the red card for both APC and PDP, they caused the huge problem being witnessed by Nigerians”
“Enough of misrule, we are coming to abrogate the ugly narratives, we can’t continue this way”, Adeyeri concluded
