Nigerians have been enjoined to pray more fervently to God to choose the right President for them in the forthcoming general elections, which are just few weeks away.
The charge was given on Friday, 10 February, 2023 by the Leader (Waali) of the Muslim Congress (TMC), Ondo State, Ustaadh Abdul-Wasiu Kayode Babalola in his 2023 general elections message to Nigerians, home and abroad.
Babalola, who noted, that though the elections are close, urged Nigerians never to relent nor relax in their prayers and quest for the needed leadership and president that will herald ease and re-work the country to glory, comfort, peace, unity, progress, prosperity and abundance for all.
“Please, Nigerians, do not let us relent nor lose hope in the power of prayers at this crucial moment of our national history”, he charged.
Similarly, the TMC leader appealed to Nigerians to vote conscientiously and avoid all actions that can disrupt the peaceful conduct and good outcome of the elections.
He tasked the electorates in Ondo State and across Nigeria to be firm and avoid selling their votes for money or any other inducements, despite the present economic hardship, that is further compounded by cash crunch and scarcity of the premium motor spirit (PMS) for some weeks now.
Babalola, the Ondo TMC Leader called on youths across the six geo-political zones of Nigeria not to allow themselves to be used as thugs by unscrupulous politicians in the February and March, 2023 general elections, “while their own children are enjoying the goodies of life abroad”, he noted.
“Let us as youths conduct ourselves smartly and peacefully to ensure a peaceful, conclusive and successful free and fair polls in our dear country”
The Muslim Congress Leader in Ondo State prayed that God Almighty make the 2023 general elections and transition peaceful and successful, and make Nigerians to experience ease, true peace, security, unity, progress, development, prosperity, wellness, fulfilment, and abundance in the years ahead.
