A member of the House of Representatives in Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, BTO, has been declared the winner of the just concluded election in the Federal Constituency.
BTO also becomes the first incumbent federal lawmaker from the area to win reelection.
BTO won reelection with 51,532 votes (84.5%), while the PDP candidate got 9,014 (14.8%).
Meanwhile, Otunba Adegboyega Adefarati of the APC in Akoko South West/South East Federal Constituency has won the Reps seat.
Gboyega also made history as the first son of a former governor in Ondo State to win an elective position in the state.
The result of the election shows that APC’s Gboyega had 25,874 votes to beat PDP candidate who polled 18,403.
