Following the suspension by a court, the National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Iyorchia Ayu has been replaced.
He was replaced by Mr Umar Damagum.
Confirming the development, National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Debo Ologunagba, said the National Working Committee of the Party appointed Damagum, to oversee the affairs of the party in acting capacity.
The announcement was at a press conference on Tuesday, at the party’s secretariat.
Damagun will replace Iyorchia Ayu as the national chairman of the party, following Ayu’s suspension.
