The Special Adviser to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Public & Intergovernmental Relations, Dr. Mrs ‘Bunmi Ademosu on Thursday, bagged the highest honour as Integrity Icon of Nigeria by the largest Anti Corruption Body in Nigeria, Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation.
The honour according to the Chief Executive Officer of the Centre, Prince Salih Yakubu is coming after series of secret opinion polls and interrogations of informants had been conducted without the consent of the office for valuation.
Prince Yakubu who said the group was particularly happy to present Dr. Mrs Ademosu the honour further described her as a virtuous woman who have proven that whatever a man can do, a woman can do better
According to him, Dr. Mrs Ademosu is one of the finest characters in the governance of the country and most be so celebrated.
While also urging the people of the state to remain grateful for having such a wonderful Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu at the helms of affair, Prince Yakubu said in the last 17 years, the group has committed criminals to jail as it has zero tolerance for corruption.
“We can not be influenced or induced as a body. None of the offices we are profiling know they were been secretly followed for 16 months. In this state, we have 4 whistleblowers across the 18 Local Government Area”, he added.
The climax of the event is the official presentation of certificate to Dr. Mrs. Ademosu for a honour well deserved to
leverage opportunities within and outside the country.
Ondo N-SIP office was also presented Ethical Leadership Conduct Compliance Certificate for coming 1st in South West and 2nd throughout the federation.
Responding, Dr. Mrs. Ademosu said though coming as a surprise, she is not surprised by the honour which will serve as an impetus to do more for the downtrodden in the society.
Dr. Mrs. Ademosu while also pledging that she remains determined in her resolve to cause positive change, thanked God for openly rewarding her good work.
While particularly thanking Mr. Governor for believing and reposing trust in her ability to deliver, Dr. Mrs. Ademosu said the duty of birthing a great nation is collective.
“If we all play our part, everything will be alright. I believe Nigeria will rise again and I am ready to play my part in making it a country of choice”, she reiterated just as she assured the group of her readiness to partner them in all ways possible to birth a great state.
Part of the benefits for Ondo State N-SIP is a free training programme for all staffs on ethical education by the Center for Ethics and Self Value Orientation team.
The event which was witnessed by Heads of Units, Administrative Secretaries, Programme Managers among others also had the Head of the Whistle Blowing Team from Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation, Engr Malik Suabu in attendance.
