The member representing Ilaje and Ese-odo federal constituency of Ondo state in the house of representatives, honorable Kolade Akinjo has felicitated with Muslims in his constituency and across the state on the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting and Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
Akinjo, in a statement he personally signed on friday urged the muslim faithfuls to embrace peace with fellow citizens of other faiths, imbibe the lessons from the month-long fasting of Ramadan and show compassion to the less-privileged.
He added that the joyous occasion of Eid-ek -Fitri provides another opportunity to rejuvenate bonds of kinship, peace and demonstrate tolerance and empathy towards our neighbours.
He said: “As our Muslim brothers and sisters celebrate Eid-el-Fitr today, I urge us all to take it as a time for forgiveness, kindness, and compassion. I urge us to make peace with our neighbours, relatives and resolve differences, in consonance with the teachings of Prophet Muhammad”
Akinjo wished all Muslims a prosperous eid-el-fitr celebration as he prayed for God’s endless blessings for them all.
