Photos: Ondo Church Where 40 Worshippers Were Killed Reopens For Service

The St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State, where, no fewer than 40 worshippers were killed by terrorists in June 2022, has reopened for service.

The casualty was massive because the attackers threw dynamite into the church besides the assault riffles they shot at the worshippers.

During the special service which coincided with this year’s Easter Sunday, the Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Ondo, Revd Fr. Jude Arogundade decried the level of attention giving to security by the federal government.

He wondered why nobody has been prosecuted since invasion and killing of people have started in the country.

Bishop Arogundade admonished the congregants, who came in large numbers, including the survivors of the attack, that they should not be discouraged by the June 5, 2022 incident.
