Barring any hitch, a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Olumuyiwa Adu will tomorrow Monday, May 22, formally join the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Adu, who was the PDP candidate in the February, 2022 bye-election for the House of Representatives in Akure South and Akure North federal constituency, will be received by the APC Chairman, Ade Adetimehin and other party leaders at the party’s secretariat by 10am.

According to the official invitation card released by Mr Adu’s media team, tagged official declaration, a grand reception of the PDP chieftain will follow his visit to the APC secretariat at the Democracy Park by 12pm.

The Akure born politician came to political limelight following the death of the former member of the House of Representatives, Adedayo Omolafe in August 2021.

With Omolafe’s death, a vacuum was created in Akure federal constituency and needed to be filled.

During the primary election of the PDP to replace the late Omolafe, Mr Adu against all odds defeated heavyweights in the party to clinch the ticket.

Since then, he has been a known force to reckon with in Ondo State politics, particularly his federal constituency of Akure South and North.
