NDDC Commissioner, Gbenga Edema Congratulates Olowo On Appointment As Chancellor, Federal Varsity In Jigawa

The Commissioner representing Ondo State on the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Hon. Gbenga Edema, has hailed the appointment of the Olowo of Owo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, as the Chancellor, Federal University of Science and Technology, Bubara, Jigawa State.

Edema noted that the appointment of the revered Owo monarch as Chancellor would open new vistas for the growth of the institution given the pedigree of the traditional ruler in his public and traditional services.

In a statement made available to newsmen, he asserted that the appointment of the first-class monarch is a meritorious acknowledgment of his exceptional leadership abilities and contribution to the growth of his community, the state, and the country as a whole.

The NDDC Commissioner highlighted that the monarch’s vast experience, wisdom, and influence would be invaluable to the university in achieving its goals of academic excellence, research advancement, and community engagement.

Edema went on to add that the monarch’s appointment as the chancellor of the university is a clear indication of the trust and confidence the government has in him.

The legal practitioner and former legislator expressed optimism that the monarch would bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new role and help the university achieve greater heights.

The statement read: “It is with great pleasure that I extend my warmest congratulations to you on your recent appointment as the Chancellor of the Federal University of Science and Technology, Bubara, Jigawa State.
