The Commissioner representing Ondo State on the governing board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Hon. Gbenga Edema, has congratulated the Senators and House of Representatives members from Ondo State on their inauguration into the 10th National Assembly.
While commending the new lawmakers on their resolve to serve the country, particularly their constituents, Edema saluted their hard work and dedication to being elected into the National Assembly.
In a statement personally signed by the NDDC Commissioner, who is also a former lawmaker, he urged the legislators to prioritize the development of Ondo State and work tirelessly to improve the lives of the people they represent.
Furthermore, the former Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSAPADEC) appealed to the lawmakers to work closely with the Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, to ensure that the state continues to develop in all areas.
In the statement, Edema acknowledged the efforts of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in moving the state forward and expressed optimism that, with the support of the newly inaugurated lawmakers, he could achieve even more.
He emphasized that Akeredolu had enormously improved the state’s infrastructure, employment opportunities, healthcare facilities, and quality of education for the people of Ondo State.
Edema highlighted the importance of the newly inaugurated lawmakers working collaboratively with their colleagues from other states, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu to ensure that the needs of the Nigerian people are met, and that the country continues to move in a positive direction.
He also encouraged the lawmakers to use their positions to advocate for the development of Ondo State, as he acknowledged the enormous potentials of the state and the need to give its development the attention it deserves.

“This is a great achievement and a testament to your hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving our people.
“As you begin your tenure, I urge you to prioritize the development of Ondo State and to work tirelessly to improve the lives of the people you represent.
“In this regard, I would like to appeal to you to work closely with Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, CON, to ensure that the state continues to develop in all areas.
“He (Akeredolu) has already done a lot to move the state forward, and I believe that with your support, he can achieve even more.
“You have been given a great responsibility to serve and represent the people, and I am confident that you will do so with dedication and commitment.”
