As the World is focusing on ending cervical cancer, with intensified efforts in raising awareness on this deadly disease, the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists in Ondo State, NAWOJ is organising a one-day Cervical cancer awareness creation and screening for women in the state and a Cryotherapy which is a treatment that removes the cancer almost 100%.
During this exercise, participants will be adequately educated on what cervical cancer is and the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) that causes.
Health practitioners will be available at the venue of the program to screen participants that are 30 years and above at a subsidized fee to make it more affordable.
This program is scheduled to hold on the first of July, 2023, by 9am at the Press Center behind Adegbemile cultural center, Akure.
All of these come at a subsidised rate of 10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira) only.
Intending participants are to note that registration has commenced with the forms available at the Press Center at the cost of #1,000 and is expected to close on the 22nd of June, 2023.
