Ondo: Over 2000 Participants To Grace 49th Annual Convention Of Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Organization

Over 2000 participants across 16 states in Nigeria will take part in the 49th Majlis Khuddam (Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Organization) Annual National Convention (Ijtema), holding in Owo between June 7 and 10, 2023.

The National President of the organization Mr Roqib Akintunde Akinyemi disclosed this while addressing newsmen in Akure.

Mr Roqib said the theme of this year’s convention (Ijtema) is “Upholding
the Institution of Khilafah through Activation of Nizam-e-Jama’at.” The theme underscores the significance of preserving and promoting the concept of Khilafah and the role of Nizam-e-Jama’ in the society.

The President said the aims of the convention is to deepen the participants’ understanding of these principles and inspire them to play an active role in their implementation within the Muslim community. “A good understanding of this theme is critical to peace and harmony in our community and to our individual moral and spiritual success.”

Part of the activities lined up for this convention is free medical outreach scheduled to hold at Ahmadiyya Grammar
School, Owo on Wednesday 7th June 2023, from morning and a public lecture following day at the same venue.

The 49th Annual MKAN Ijtema promises to be a memorable event, filled with a wide range of educational, sporting, and intellectual activities.


Participants should look forward to engaging in enlightening sessions, including lectures to be delivered by esteemed scholars. These lectures will
cover various topics related to the theme.

The symposium of the convention will hold on Saturday, 10th June 2023 at Narin King Events Center, Otapete, Owo, Ondo State.

Dignitaries expected at the symposium includes esteemed Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu CON SAN, The Olowo and Paramount Ruler of Owo Land: Alayeluwa Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III; The Chief Imam of Owo and Chairman League of Imams and Alfas, Ondo State, Alhaji Ahmad Aladesawe; Chairman
Christian Association of Nigeria, Ondo State Chapter; Very Rev’d Fr. Anselm, among other important personalities.

Another key area of the convention is the Awards of excellence to be presented to deserving States and Districts of the Majlis based on their performances from the last convention to date.

Mr Roqib however cordially invite members of the press, and the general public to be a part of this prestigious event to join them in their efforts to spread its key messages
of peace, unity, and the pursuit of knowledge.
