… Urges citizens to remain vigilant and aid security agency

… Says Memorial Park will immortalize victims

Today makes it a year since innocent citizens worshipping in St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo were shot at by unknown gunmen. It was a day where we wept, a day of sorrow and memory forever stamped in our hearts. The ODHA majority leader has honoured the deceased who lost their lives and sent strong words to survivors.

Hon. Ogunmolasuyi says no one prays to lose their loved ones in such a cruel way. However, the state and federal government is committed to securing lives and properties. To those whom God gave a chance to see another day, you can only be thankful as it shows you all still have a reason to live. To those who lost their loved ones, my heart goes out to you, and I sincerely pray that God grant you all the strength to move on. More so, be rest assured that the state government under Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is sparing no effort to ensure justice on your side.

The memorial park to be commissioned shows we did not forget as a state. All we can do is immortalize our loved ones and live on because that is what they would wish for us. Again, I pray for God’s strength and enough stamina for us to put this pain behind us. As a legislator, rest assured that I am doing all I can to ensure security agencies are on their feet.

May such never happen in our land again.

Signed:
Hon. Oluwole Emmanuel Ogunmolasuyi
ODHA Majority Leader
