Akure Residents Appeal To BEDC To Restore Electricity After Weeks Of Darkness

The residents of Abiodun Aloba, Layout in Iralepo Isinkan, off Ondo Road, Akure have appealed to the management of Benin Distribution Electricity Company, BEDC Igbara -Oke District to restore electricity to the area.

The appeal was contained in a Press Statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of Iralepo Layout Landlord/ Residents Association, Abiodun Aloba Zone Prince Bolu Ajijo

According to the residents it.is now over a week that the whole area has been thrown into total darkness while the adjoining area such as Oludare Hospital and Solid Foundation are enjoying uninterrupted electricity

This continuous darkness has paralyzed the socioeconomic activities and the residents have been living fear due to the activities of the unscrupulous people especially men of the under worlds who are exploiting the situation to unleash terror in the inhabitants.

According to Prince Ajijo, the residents who are tired of living in perpetual darkness, appealed to Ondo State Government and all well meaning people to intervene to ensure BEDC Igbara -District restore power to their to enable them enjoy some level of civilization they are entitled to having been paying their electricity bills as at and when due

They exoressed their reservation to the attitude of BEDC officers to bring bills only when they restore light not minding that for a while at times up to two weeks they will be thrown into darkness without any recourse to explain to them why and what really happened to see them sharing bills when lights are restore.
