Ondo 2024: Adeolu Akinwunmi Joins Race, Presents Letter Of Intent To PDP SWC

Hon. Adeolu Akinwunmi, former Special Assistant to Former Governor Dr. Olusegun Mimiko has presented Letter of Intent to participate in Ondo 2024 Governorship election to the Ondo PDP State Working Committee (SWC) on Monday, 31st July, 2023.

Adeolu who was accompanied to the Party State Secretariat, Akure by a group of teeming youths adorning his campaign mantra Óyá told the SWC, it was time the youths took their destinies into their own hands. “We can no longer watch helplessly from the sidelines, when our future is being mangled by those we trustingly entrusted it” he said.

Speaking earlier, Hon. Fatai Adams, State Chairman of the PDP, welcomed Adeolu and his Team to the State Secretariat, with the promise that, a level playing ground will be provided for him and whosever indicates interest to contest the Governorship election on the platform of the PDP.

In the document distributed to SWC members tagged ” A Clear Vision, A Trustworthy Mission”, Mr Adeolu Akinwunmi stated that; ” Our dear Sundmshine State, Ondo State yearns for a new paradigm of governance that will boost and gear up her dampening economic potentials even in the face of abundance of natural resources”. He said that given an opportunity, he possesses a firm grasp of the State across lines of geography, demography, people, culture, social orientation, human capacity, developmental gaps and challenges to rebuild a new Ondo State.

Adeolu Akinwunmi is a 2001 graduate of Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Ibadan. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Systems Engineering (Distinction grade) from University of East London(2005). He has worked in core engineering services and project management firms in both the United Kingdom and Nigeria. He currently runs Hiribana Nigeria Limited, an Engineering Project Management Consulting firm.
