Just In: Ondo Assembly Holds Public Hearing On 33 New LCDAs Today

The Ondo State House of Assembly will today, Thursday, August 10 hold a public hearing to discuss the 33 new council areas proposed by the State Government.

In a text message sent to Precision Online Newspaper, the public hearing is expected to commence by 8AM.

Also, the special adviser to the Speaker on Media, Dr Sehinde Fanokun confirmed the development.

According to him, the public hearing will hold at the International Culture & Event Center also known as The Dome, along Igbatoro road in Akure, the State capital.

Last month, the Ondo State Government after an executive council meeting announced that 33 new LCDAs have been approved.

The State Commissioner for Justice, Sir Charles Titiloye while speaking on the development, further disclosed that the proposed LCDAs will be sent to the House for Legislative approval.

The State currently has 18 Local Government Areas. With the proposed 33 new LCDAs, the State now has 51 Local Councils.
