The Government of Ondo State on Monday begins free transportation of students and pupils in schools through the resuscitation of the free shuttle buses scheme.
The Head of the Government committee on palliative and Commissioner for Finance, Wale Akinterinwa had last month informed newsmen that the buses will resume operation in September, as part of Government measures at cushioning the effect of fuel subsidy removal.
The free shuttle buses were seen across the State on Monday morning stationed at strategic bus-stops, to convey them to their schools. The buses are to be used to pick the students after close of classes later in the day.
The free shuttle buses were introduced during the Mimiko’s administration.
