Statement Of Ondo Police Command On Arrest Of Suspects, Recovery Of Stolen Vehicle

On the 21st of AUGUST, 2023, An Almera Nissan car was stolen by unknown thieves at Igoba Area in Akure.

One Adetokunbo Adeojo aged 59years was heard arguing with someone over the phone on non-remittance of the proceeds from a stolen vehicle and the police was alerted.

The Police swung into action and was able to arrest the suspect who later confessed that the vehicle was stolen from Akure and taken to Kano but we’re unable to sell because the buyer insisted on the original copies of the car documents, while they were trying to forge the document in Kaduna, the Police at Tafa Division Kaduna were informed and his partner Felix Edward ‘m’ 37years was arrested while he escaped.

The other suspect has been handed over to the Command while the 3rd suspect whom he had argument with is currently at large.

ARREST OF SUSPECTED CULTISTS/ ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF FIREARM

The Police got an Intel that suspected cultists were hiding in Mayowa area of Oda road in Akure.

Immediately, men of the Special Anti-Cultism Squad, were alerted and this led to the arrest of Mayokun Olamide ‘m aged 27years and Pelumi Folorunsho ‘m’ aged 26years.

In the course of searching the house, One Alex Oluyide ‘m’ who hid himself in the ceiling was caught with a bag, two (2) locally made gun with live catridges, a mask and four customized Aiye Confraternity cap was found in the bag.

The suspects during interrogation confessed to be members of Aiye Confraternity.

The suspects will be charged to court at the end of investigation.
