Adebumiti, Ajayi Lead New Ondo NUJ Chapel

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ondo State Council has inaugurated a new Chapel called NUJ Digital Media Chapel.

Inaugurating the new Chapel, Chairman of the Union, Prince Leke Adegbite said it is important to have the Chapel inaugurated, based on the resolutions made by delegates at the National Congress held last year in Kaduna, which was to have additional Chapel to the existing one.

According to him, the new Chapel will accommodate owners of online news platforms and staff of higher institutions, who have at least a diploma in journalism or media related discipline.

Media entrepreneur and founder, Precision Online Newspaper, Hakeem Adebumiti was inaugurated as Chairman, while a Senior Technologist at the Joseph Ayo Babalola University and a former staff of OSRC, Mr Adesoye Ajayi was inaugurated as Vice Chairman.

Others inaugurated are founder of Exponent Magazine, Olusegun Hosea as Secretary; a staff of the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, Ms Bisola Aluko as Treasurer, while Rahman Yusuf as Financial Secretary.
