The Golden set of Unity Secondary school Ode Aye (USSOA) Alumni Class 94, will on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th October, converge on Akure, Ondo State Capital for its 2023 Annual Reunion.
The Class 94 of the USSOA Alumni get-to-together trailed the maiden edition of the annual reunion held in Lagos Airport Hotel Ikeja in October 2022.
The First Reunion was tagged, “Celebrating the ties that bind us together.”
The Class Coordinator, Mr Babatunde Adefusi-Owate in a Press interview on Monday revealed that the 2023 Golden set Reunion theme is tagged, “Celebrating and Strengthening Friendship.”
The event is scheduled to feature a Public Lecture titled, “Coping with the Present Economic Realities and Saving for the Future” to be delivered by a Renowned Perceptive Public Speaker, Dr Edamisan Ikuemonisan of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko.
Mr Owate said the 2023 Reunion is targeted at discussing how the class can contribute to the development of the school by executing the Class project in Ode Aye towards 30th anniversary next year and also address issues bordering on the welfare of members.
A Statement by the Chairman, Planning committee, Pharm Tade Olanusi said the event is billed for Friday 27th for arrival of members and Saturday 28th for the Reunion Programme at Bliss World Hotel and Resorts Ijapo Estate, Akure.
The proposed ‘Class Reunion’ occasion will witness games on Friday, Health check on Saturday, Public lecture and also to meet and catch a glimpse of old time sake and discuss a way forward on the development of the alma mater, Olanusi added. It is noteworthy to mention that the set has produced many Captains of Industry, Top Government functionaries, professionals, successful businessmen, Political Office holders and Doctorate degree holders.
