Members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Akure, the Ondo State capital on Monday morning met their secretariat along Alagbaka road sealed off by security operatives.
The PDP had planned to protest the absence of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who has been away from office since over one month he returned from medical vacation.
The operatives from the DSS, Police and Civil Defense besieged the PDP office as early as 7AM.
Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) was brought to the secretariat as at the time of this report.
Staff of the secretariat who were allowed to come in were, however denied bringing in their vehicles.
Meanwhile, latest development from the secretariat indicates that staff of the PDP are no longer allowed to come into the office building. The staff that were earlier allowed to access the building have resorted to protest within the office premises.
