The 2023 Ijare day celebrations will kickoff on Tuesday, November 7 with indigenes and residents dancing round the town.
The dancing activity will kickoff by 2PM according to the itinerary release by the local organizing committee.
The weeklong event is expected to climax on Saturday, November 11 at the open field Anglican Grammar School, Ijare by 10:00AM, with the conferment of merit awards on notable personalities who have contributed immensely to the development of Ijare town.
The 2023 Ijare day celebrations will involve scholarship for outstanding and indigent students and empowerment programme to support artisans with working tools and capital.
The event will also feature launching/donation, cultural display and students match past.
A further look at the itinerary of the event, indicated that Wednesday, November 8 is dedicated for education/career talks at the Town hall, Obasola by 10:00AM
Thursday, November 9, 2023 is for free medical checkup and distribution of free drugs also at the Town hall, Obasola by 10:00AM.
The indigenes and residents will further seek the face of God on November 10 with a Jumat Service at Ijare Central Mosque by 1:30PM.
Also, Sunday, November 12 will be Thanksgiving Service at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ayetoro, Ijare by 9:00AM.
