Who Do We Take Orders From? – Akure Imam, Akorede Appeals To Akeredolu To Address Ondo Residents

The Imam of Akureland, Sheikh Abdulhakeem Akorede has appealed to the Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to address the residents of the State, and give directive on the person to take orders from in his absence.

Governor Akeredolu returned to Nigeria two months ago after a medical vacation and had since stayed in his residence in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Upon his return to Nigeria, the Governor had met with members of the State Executive Council led by his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa; the assembly members; APC national leaders and of recent southwest Governors.

Speaking on Tuesday in a Facebook live broadcast monitored on his page – Imam Akure by Precision Online Newspaper, Imam Akorede started by praying for total recovery of the Governor.

While quoting narrations from the book of hadith on the need to maintain balance in the society, the Imam said no society where sins are the order of the day would progress.

While saying that the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa who ought to issue orders in his absence is handicapped, due to the political uncertainty surrounding his office, Imam Akorede urged the Governor to tell the people of the State, who to take orders from.

According to him, the State cannot continue to exist without a direction, and that, as one of the leaders of thoughts in the State, the situation is getting out of hand.

Imam Akorede who used the occasion of the broadcast to warn those who are wishing the Governor bad to desist, added that those whose wish is to profit from the present situation in the State would fail.

He expressed optimism that such people would soon be exposed as he prayed for the quick return of Governor Akeredolu.
