Prof. Ibrahim Ajagunna (PIA), gubernatorial aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has paid glowing tributes to the former Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
This followed the resumption of activities by his media team who had suspended their campaigns due to the passage of Akeredolu.
Prof. Ajagunna, a dedicated patriot and ardent advocate for a better Ondo State in his tribute to Akeredolu, again expressed gratitude over his service to Ondo State and Nigeria.
PIA who fondly remembered his working relationship with Akeredolu, especially those that led to the approval of the Deep Seaport Development in Ondo State and the commencement of Maritime Studies in Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), acknowledged the groundwork laid by the late Akeredolu for rapid development in the State.
The Professor of Sustainable Development and Maritime Expert, emphasized the need for a visionary leader with requisite knowledge and skills to build upon Akeredolu’s initiatives for the prosperity of the State.
Prof. Ajagunna in the tribute also expressed optimism about him being entrusted with the opportunity to positively turn around the fortunes of Ondo State and its people.
He also extended heartfelt congratulations to the new Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, calling for unity and expressing hope that the transition to the new government will bring great perspectives, resilience, and a commitment to the well-being of the people of Ondo State.
Ajagunna finally reiterated his commitment and readiness to serve the people of Ondo State as he aspires to lead the state as Governor.
