Ondo State Deputy Governor designate, Olayide Adelami, mni will be screened tomorrow Thursday, January 25.
This is contained in a statement on Wednesday by Hon. (Chief) Olatunji Oshati, Chairman, Ondo State House Committee on Information.
Oshati in the statement confirmed that the Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, has received the name of the Deputy Governor nominee, Chief Olayide Adelami, mni from the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
“The letter was received by Oladiji on behalf of other Lawmakers today in his office. The Governor’s action is in line with Section 191(3)b&c of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended,” Oshati noted.
Adelami until his nomination as deputy Governor, was a council member of Achievers University, Owo.
A former deputy clerk of the national assembly, Adelami was also a Governorship aspirant of the APC in the 2020 gubernatorial election in Ondo State.
