Staff of the University of Ilesa, Ilesa under the aegis of Temporary Staff, have dissociated themselves from a writeup on social media, which portrays the University in bad light, as not taking care of its workers.
The social media article titled, “Inside Osun Public University where students pay more than 300k as school fees, lecturers earn N23,896”, had alleged that the institution was paying workers paltry wages, despite the huge tuition fees paid by students.
However, the leadership of the temporary staff of the university, in a statement on Friday, described the allegation as barbaric and lacking in substance.
The statement added that the article was sponsored by enemies of the University.
The leadership of the temporary staff of the university, however, thanked the university Management and the state government for their efforts towards resolving all issues concerning the workers.

The attention of the leadership of the Temporary Staff of University of Ilesa, Ilesa, Osun State has been drawn to a write-up flying on social media where the integrity of our dear University of Ilesa is been dragged in the mud.
The leadership of Temporary Staff wishes to distance itself from such a barbaric act which lacks merit and ideology of our agitations.
We want to state here that we value and appreciate the efforts of our Management Team and the goodwill of the present-day Government.
Therefore, we distance our members from the write-up believed to be orchestrated and sponsored by those who do not want the University to succeed and achieve it lofty height.
We have met with the Management Team of our University and we have seen the unrelenting efforts embarked upon to put smiles on our faces( *Temporary* *Staff* ).
The Government of Osun State under the leadership of Sen. Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has also promised to put an end to any form of suffering in Osun state.
Why in God’s name would a person who has his wits about him write such a scandalous missive?
We, therefore warn the writer to henceforth steer clear of his or her intention without dragging the Civil Temporary Staff of the University of Ilesa into what is not our agreement.
We strongly believe in the Administrative capability of the present-day Government of Osun State and the Management Team of the University of Ilesa.
Therefore the leadership of the Temporary Staff of University of Ilesa jointly say that the write-up is from those who are willing to sabotage the good efforts of our dear Governor and the Management Team of the University of Ilesa.
