The Government of Ondo State through the Ministry of Water Resources and Ondo State Water Corporation has prioritized the provision of potable water to the good people of the sunshine state.
Olukoju Clement; Communication Desk Officer, ODWC (PIU) reports that the Commissioner for Water Resources, Public Sanitation and Hygiene, Hon. Sunday Akinwalire stated this while he paid a courtesy visit to the Agency Franchise De Development (AFD) Nigeria Head office, Abuja recently.
According to Hon. Akinwalire, the water project, which is fully backed by the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, is now at the physical component stage, to transmit potable water from Owena Multipurpose Dam to the towns and villages in Ondo Central Senatorial District, being the first face of the project, and it is expected that other Senatorial Districts will enjoy same soonest.
The AFD Project Manager, Mr. Guillermit Jean appreciated Ondo State Government for prioritizing potable water to the people, and promised to deliver appropriately.
The Commissioner was accompanied by the Administrative Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Victoria Adetoye, the General Manager, ODWC; Engr. Remigius S. Ogunjobi and the Project Coordinator; Engr. Omoge Vincent.
